Internet Threats Increase? Protect Your Library Users With DiscoverStation

DiscoverStation's immunity from malicious software has never been more valuable in the wake of increasing Internet threats.

Earlier this month, a leading Internet security firm reported that malicious Internet users are increasingly targeting desktop computers to obtain sensitive financial and personal information from unsuspecting users. According to Symantec, during the first half of 2005, malicious code that exposed confidential information represented 74 percent of the top 50 malicious code samples reported, up from 54 percent in the previous six months.

However, not a single DiscoverStation computer fell victim to a Windows virus this year because DiscoverStation makes it impossible for malicious software to run, protecting both patrons and the library's IT infrastructure.

If you're interested in protecting your patrons and improving uptime and security, give us a call to find out more. For more information about the recent increase in Internet threats, visit http://www.symantec.com/press/2005/n050919a.html
