In the News: Cyber Security Awareness Month

It's October and it's Cyber Security Awareness Month. Even though Userful Desktop gives you a virus free, secure desktop, your patrons need to know about how to protect themselves when they are online. With a little knowledge, your patrons can reduce their chances of being taken advantage of by identity theft and fraud. The Stay Safe Online - National Cyber Security Alliance website has a lot of great information on how to stay safe online and how to increase the security of your online interactions. They also have a handy tip list that you can post or give out to your patrons.

Resources & Tools: Cool Site of the Month - Myna

This month we found a great resource if you want to set up multimedia learning stations at your library. 'Myna' is an online collaborative music creation program that is offered free as part of the 'Aviary' series of programs. If you have any budding music makers or graphic designers at your library, check out these online programs. Users can access their work from anywhere they have Internet access.
