First off, the team at Userful want to wish all of you a very happy 2011! At Userful, we're looking forward to another very exciting year and we will keep you abreast of our ongoing developments on this blog and around the web, on our website and also on our Facebook and Twitter sites. So make sure to check those out for the latest news, advice and offers from us.

Last week, Userful President and CEO, Timothy Griffin, attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) in Las Vegas, Nevada. While at CES, Tim took the opportunity to speak to some key questions about Desktop Virtualization and the Userful solution.

Topics covered include the Linux opportunity in emerging nations, multiseat vs netbooks, the benefits and cost savings of zero-client solutions, and a general overview of Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011.

Celebrating Our Partnership with DisplayLink - Make 2 Computers Out of 1

Our team here at Userful is very focused on creating the best Linux-based multiseat software in the world. We've spent over a decade in product refinement, listening to the needs of our customers in more than 100 countries. Sometimes we partner with other great companies to bring considerable benefit to our customers. This week, we're proud to announce our software/hardware partnership with award-winning company, DisplayLink. More about our partnership can be read in this press release.

To celebrate, we're offering all existing DisplayLink technology-enabled USB docking station customers a free two user version of Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011 software. The software can be installed as a dual boot, enabling customers to use it without overwriting their existing Windows system. More information about the promotion can be obtained from here.

It's really easy to make a Universal USB Docking Station with DisplayLink USB virtual graphics inside into an additional computer station. All you need to do is use a dock, keyboard, monitor and mouse with an existing notebook, netbook or PC and the Userful MultiSeat Linux 2011 software and you can share your computer with someone else. Both computers will work independently -- to the users it will feel like they each have their own dedicated computer. Very handy if you want to share your computer at home or on the road!
